Courses & Grade Levels
Courses Offered
Upon enrollment, we provide baseline testing for all students in English, Math, Reading, Writing and Science to identify where the student stands relative to national standards. We work with your family to define academic goals for the year, and we meet at least every two months to review progress towards those goals and fine-tune them as needed. Our goal is for students to achieve competency well above the progress expected each year in public schools. In Nevada, Kindergarteners are expected to know all letters of the alphabet by the end of the year. At I-School, Kindergarteners can read four-syllable words by February, as the whole world opens to a student when they can begin to read on their own.

Middle School (grades 6-8)
Our middle school students generally participate in a combination of classical education curricula, hands-on activities and labs, weekly one-on-one math tutoring, and an AI based math program (ALEKS) that allows students to move through math levels at their own pace. We also work with providers such as eDynamic Learning, Accelerate Education, MindPrint, Hillsdale College, and Well-Trained Mind Academy. All curriculum is administered under the direction, observation, and guidance of our talented teachers.

Did you know that the main reason freshmen struggle with biology is because…they don’t understand the vocabulary? So much of high school success depends on adequate preparation during middle school in writing, math, and study skills. Our baseline assessments give a starting point for outlining where a student may go and defined expectations for how long that should take, relative to national norms, parent expectations, or other measure. We expect our middle schoolers to excel particularly in English and math upon entering high school, as that lays the foundation for everything to follow.
